Description

Alaska Boxes manufactures custom cookie boxes for bakeries, home bakers, and food brands across the United States and Canada. Every box is made to your exact dimensions, printed in full color, and shipped free to your door — with no die plate charges, ever.

Whether you need window boxes for retail display, kraft boxes for artisan branding, or premium gift packaging for holiday season — we build it to your spec.

Cookie Box Styles

Choose the style that fits your product, volume, and sales channel. All styles are available with full custom printing and finishing.

Tuck-End Cookie Boxes

The most widely used style in retail bakeries. A top flap tucks into the front panel — fast to assemble, no tape required. Available in 6, 12, and 24-count configurations. The most cost-effective option for everyday bakery packaging.

Auto-Bottom (Crash-Lock) Cookie Boxes

Pre-glued base pops open with a push. Significantly faster to assemble than tuck-end — critical for high-volume operations packaging hundreds of boxes per day. Stronger base panel reduces in-transit breakage.

Cookie Boxes with Window

A clear film window lets customers see your cookies before buying — the single most effective upgrade for retail sales. Available in full-face, half-front, and die-cut shapes. Window boxes consistently outsell opaque packaging in retail environments. Window material options: PVC, OPP, acetate, and biodegradable PLA film.

Gift Cookie Boxes with Inserts

Individual cookie compartments keep each piece separated and presentable. Used for corporate gifting, wedding favors, holiday gift sets, and premium retail. Available with ribbon slots, magnetic closures, and tissue-paper-ready interiors.

Two-Piece Rigid Cookie Boxes

Separate lid and base — the premium tier. Used by luxury cookie brands and corporate gift programs where packaging must match a high product price point. Pairs with gold foil stamping, embossing, and soft-touch lamination.

Individual Cookie Boxes

Single-serve packaging for one jumbo or artisan cookie. Increasingly popular in specialty cafes and direct-to-consumer bakeries where the single-cookie experience is the product.

Materials

SBS Cardboard (14pt–18pt)

The standard for premium retail cookie boxes. Smooth white interior surface accepts full-color CMYK and Pantone printing with excellent fidelity. FDA-compliant for food contact.

Kraft Paperboard

Natural brown, unbleached — the material of choice for artisan, organic, and eco-positioned cookie brands. FSC-certified kraft available. Printing works best with dark inks on kraft.

Corrugated Board (E/B-flute)

For cookie boxes that will be shipped through the mail. Significantly more protective than standard cardboard. E-flute is thinner and more print-friendly; B-flute offers maximum protection for long-distance shipping.

Rigid Chipboard

The luxury tier. Does not fold flat — structured, rigid, premium. For gift boxes and corporate cookie packaging where presentation justifies a higher per-unit cost.

Printing & Finishing

Every finishing choice signals something to your customer. Here’s what each option delivers:

  • Matte lamination — Soft, premium feel. The most popular finish for artisan and specialty food packaging.
  • Gloss lamination — High-contrast, vivid color. Best for bold, colorful designs and retail shelf impact.
  • Soft-touch coating — Velvet-like texture. Highest perceived premium feel — reserved for top-tier products.
  • Spot UV — Selective gloss over matte base. Draws the eye directly to your logo or product name.
  • Gold / silver foil stamping — Instant luxury signal. Most effective on holiday, gift, and corporate cookie packaging.
  • Embossing / debossing — Raised or recessed logo. Tactile, memorable — reinforces brand quality at the moment of touch.
  • Die-cut window — Any shape, any size. PVC, OPP, acetate, or biodegradable film. Increases impulse purchase rate.

💡  Best-value combination: Matte lamination + spot UV on logo.

Professional result, moderate cost increase, and consistently outperforms plain-print boxes in retail settings.

What sizes do your custom cookie boxes come in?

All sizes are fully custom. Common dimensions range from 4″×4″×1.5″ for mini/sample boxes to 14″×10″×2″ for large bakery or wholesale runs. Submit your cookie dimensions with your quote request and we’ll confirm the optimal box size.

Are your cookie boxes food safe?

Yes. All materials and inks used in our cookie boxes are FDA-compliant and food-safe. This applies to the box board, adhesives, coatings, and window film. If your cookies will be in direct contact with the box interior, specify this on your quote — we’ll confirm the appropriate food-grade liner.

Do you charge die plate or tooling fees?

No — never. Die plate and tooling charges are $0 on every Alaska Boxes order. Your custom box shape and size are included in the quoted price.

What is the minimum order quantity?

We work with bakeries at all volumes. Contact us with your quantity and we’ll confirm the minimum for your specific box style and size.

Can I get cookie boxes with a window?

Yes. Window patching is available on most cookie box styles. Common options include full-face windows, half-front windows, and die-cut shaped windows. Specify your preferred window dimensions and shape when requesting a quote. Window film options: PVC, OPP, acetate, biodegradable PLA.

How long does production take?

Standard turnaround is 10–15 business days from proof approval. Rush production is available — contact us before ordering to confirm availability. For holiday seasons (especially Christmas), we recommend ordering 6–8 weeks in advance.

Do you ship to Canada?

Yes. Free shipping applies to all orders delivered anywhere in the United States and Canada. No additional freight charges, no border fees — same pricing as US orders.

What cardboard thickness should I use for my cookie boxes?

14pt is the standard for retail cookie boxes. Use 16pt or 18pt if boxes will be shipped through the mail or handled frequently. For lightweight retail-only use, 12pt kraft is an option.
